Tuna Keema Masala
Tuna Keema Masala is an Indian fish keema recipe made with canned tuna, onion, tomato, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and spices. Tuna Keema Masala is easy to cook and takes less than 30 minutes to prepare. This Tuna Keema Masala recipe has a creamy texture and is full of flavour. It is best served hot with roti or naan.
Ingredients
1 Can Golden Prize Tuna in Oil
2 Onions, chopped
1 ½ Tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
2 Green Chillies, chopped
2 Tomatoes, chopped
Salt to taste
1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
¼ Tsp Garam Masala
⅛ Tsp Turmeric
Water as required
1 Lemon Wedge, to squeeze
Coriander, for garnish
Steps
Step 1
In a small bowl, drain the oil from the tuna and reserve.
Step 2
In a pan, heat the reserved tuna oil over medium heat and add onion. Saute
for 4-5 minutes until slightly golden and add ginger-garlic paste and saute
for a few seconds. Add green chillies, mix well and add tomatoes, salt to
taste, red chilli powder, garam masala and turmeric. Mix well.
Step 3
Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes until the tomatoes become soft. After 7-8
minutes, remove the cover and cook for 2 more minutes until the excess
water has evaporated.
Step 4
Add tuna chunks and mash using the back of the wooden spoon. Mix well, add
a dash of water, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Once cooked, remove the lid, turn the heat off and squeeze the lemon wedge.
Mix well and transfer to a serving bowl.
Step 6
Garnish with a sprig of coriander and serve hot with naan or roti.
Piri Piri Mackerel Curry
Piri Piri Mackerel Curry is a Portuguese inspired fish curry recipe made with Mackerel in tomato sauce, piri piri spices, onion, garlic and apple cider vinegar. Mackerel is a healthy fish which contains a lot of protein which is good for the body. This seafood recipe is spicy, tangy and well balanced. Piri Piri Mackerel Curry is best served hot with steamed rice.
Ingredients
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Onion, chopped
2 Tsp Garlic, minced
250g Tomato Puree
1 ½ Tsp Piri Piri Masala
Salt to taste
1 Tsp Sugar
2 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Cans Golden Prize Mackerel in Tomato Sauce
Coriander, for garnish
Steps
Step 1
In a deep pan, heat oil over medium heat, add onion and saute for 5-6
minutes until slightly golden. Add garlic, mix well and cook for a few
seconds until the raw smell goes away.
Step 2
Add tomato puree and give it a nice stir. Add piri piri masala, salt and
sugar. Mix well and cook for 8-10 minutes until the oil separates. Make
sure to keep stirring in between to avoid burning.
Step 3
After 10 minutes, add apple cider vinegar and mix well. Add mackerel and
stir gently. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Step 4
After 7 minutes, remove the lid, mix well and turn the heat off.
Step 5
Once cooked, remove from heat, transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with
coriander sprig and serve hot with steamed rice.
Tuna Pulao

2 Tbsp Oil
1 Onion, chopped
3 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 Green Chilli, chopped
1 Tomato, chopped
½ Carrot, diced
⅓ Cup Cauliflower Floret
¼ Cup Green Beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 Can Golden Prize Tuna in Spring Water
Salt to taste
⅛ Tsp Turmeric Powder
¼ Tsp Red Chilli Powder
¼ Tsp Cumin Powder
3 Cups Rice, parboiled
Coriander, for garnish
Steps
Step 1
In a wok, heat oil over medium heat and add onion. Saute for 2-3 minutes until
slightly golden. Add garlic, mix well,
add green chilli and saute for a minute.
Step 2
Add tomato, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add carrot, cauliflower and green
beans. Mix well and cook for 2-3 more
minutes.
Step 3
Add tuna and mix well. Add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and cumin powder.
Mix again and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4
After 5 minutes, add the parboiled rice to the tuna mix, cover and cook for 7-8
minutes.
Step 5
Once cooked, remove the cover, take off from the heat, transfer to a serving
bowl, garnish with chopped coriander and
serve hot.
